Aachen to Frankfurt connection times in Koeln

I am trying to book my boss on a train from Aachen to

Frankfurt at around 5pm on 22 September.

When I search this route I am given times with only very

short transfers in Koeln (5min). I am concerned about him missing the

connection.

Is there a way I can book a trip with a longer transfer time

in Koeln?

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for your question.

I would suggest that you break your journey and book as follows :-

- Aachen to Cologne - Regional train - Departure time 17:18 hours - Arrival time 18:12 hours.

- Cologne to Frankfurt - Thalys train - Departure time 18: 39 hours - Arrival time 19:15 hours.

Please note that connecting time of more than 15 minutes is required for you to board your next train provided that you have minimum luggage.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then Add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Hello and thanks for this reply.

That makes sense but how do I go about doing that? When I search the trains it only gives me the options with a 5 minute transfer time.

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for your reply.

You would have to first book your travel from Aachen to Cologne - Departure time 17:18 hours - Arrival time 18:12 hours.

Once you finish booking your first train then click on "keep shopping" tab and book your second train from Cologne to Frankfurt - Departure time 18: 44 hours - Arrival time 19:48 hours.

The above trains would give you connection time of more than 15 minutes.

Please note that train schedules are dynamic and subject to change.

Hope this helps!!!
