Best pass for Italy/ France/England

Hi

I will be travelling with my family of 5 in June and July

this year (2015) and I would like to know the best past and amount of days.

These are the days needed for rail travel:

18 June- Rome to Venice

20 June- Venice to Florence

27 June- Genoa to Nice

30 June- Nice to Avignon

3 July- Avignon to Paris

7 July- Paris to London

From what I can see, it seems that the Eurail Italy/ France

Pass would be cheaper than the Eurail Select Pass. I know both don’t cover the

trip into London but do they both allow for a discount on the trip there?

Do I need to get 6 days validation to cover the trip

discount to London?

Also, travelling with a family of 5 I would like to start reserving seats as soon as I can. When can I start making seat reservations with the

pass?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Danielle,

Thanks for your question.

The France-Italy Pass would be ideal for your travel. And yes you could avail pass holder fares for the journey from Paris to London on the Eurostar train with your France-Italy Pass. Passes that qualify for passholder discounts include Eurail Global pass, Eurail Select pass (with France or Benelux), BritRail Pass, BritRail Pass + Ireland, France Rail pass, France and Italy Pass,

You could start making seat reservations 3 months prior to you date of travel and also validations days would be on how long you would find best for the journey.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website www.raileurope.com.au.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "Seat Reservations“ & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!
