Can I book trains to take me from Bordeaux in France to Leon in Spain?

We have booked our train from CDG Paris to BORDEAUX on the 7/4/2016. we intend to overnight in Bordeaux and the travel to San Sebastian and on to Leon. Using the Map I thought we would travel to San Sebastian, through Burgos to Valladolid and then change trains to continue to Leon. We are Australian seniors and I am having trouble doing this on the Rail Europe website. Do I need to know the types of trains?

Hello Maree,

Thanks for the question.

As you are planning to travel to San Sebastian and Leon from Bordeaux you can book and travel according to the route given below, as this is bookable on the website.

- Bordeaux to San Sebastian via Irun TGV and Regional trains.

- San Sebastian to Leon – Intercity train.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Amar, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
