France - Options for trains?

I am going to France in May for 1 month

Catching train from Paris to Cannes staying a few nights

Cannes to Paris staying,

then day trip to Rouen

then train to Strasbourg staying a few nights,

day trip to Colmar,

then Strasbourg to Paris to London.

What is the cheapest option for train travel, how much will it all cost?

Should I buy a pass or just individual tickets?

Tickets are not yet for sale, how much as a guide will it be?

Hello Jarla,

Thanks for the question.

Since you will be traveling in many cities in France, It would be best to purchase a France Rail Pass for your travel.

In order to purchase the Pass click “Here”.

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass.

For your travel from Paris to London, you will have to purchase Point to Point ticket.

In order to purchase tickets, please visit our website.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website.

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
