Istanbul to Dubrovnik best options and stopovers?

We are flying into Athens, then travelling through Greece and Turkey. We want to travel from Istanbul to Italy by train, but getting to Dubrovnik on the way seems a bit confusing. Can anyone help with suggestions for stopovers. We would like to travel through Sarajevo, time is not an issue as we are retired. :)

Thanks

Mark

Hello Mark,

Thanks for your question.

You would have to break your journey on our website as follows :

- Istanbul to Sofia – You would have to book locally.

- Sofia to Belgrade – Direct train. Can be booked on our website.

- Belgrade to Zagreb – Eurocites train. Can be booked on our website.

- Zagreb to Split - Eurocites train. Can be booked on our website.

- Split to Dubrovnik – Bus. You would have to book locally.

If you wish to travel extensively in Europe, I suggest that you purchase a Eurail Global Pass.

Request you to check the schedule and book tickets directly on our website http://www.raileurope.com.au/

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then Add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!
