Rail pass or individual tickets

Hi, I'm travelling Europe in Jan/Feb 2016 and would like to know whether I should consider buying the 5 days in 10 days rail pass. We're two under 26 travellers and our likely route is Prague to Venice, Venice to Rome and then Rome to Paris. The time between us leaving Prague and entering Paris is exactly 10 days. Would you suggest us buying that rail pass or booking individual tickets?

Also how when will tickets be released for late Jan/early Feb next year so we know when we should reserve/book tickets?

Hello Shara,

Thanks for your question.

As you are not traveling extensively, I suggest you purchase a point-to-point ticket.

Your travel will be as follows –

- Prague to Venice via Bruck an der Mur – Railjet Train and Euronight Train

- Venice to RomeFrecciargento Train or Italo Train

- Rome to Paris via Milan Frecciarossa Train and Thello Night Train

In order to book tickets, please visit our website www.raileurope.com.au.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then Add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!
