rail tickets or rail passes?

Hi There,

Need some local advice!

we are travelling the below by train on different days in June this year.

Madrid - Valencia

Valencia - Barcelona

Barcelona - Nice

Nice - Milan

Milan - Venice

Venice - Florence

Florence - Rome

Rome - ... Naples or Positano ?? What is the best option to get to positano?

For getting to Positano we were thinking of getting a train from Rome to Naples and then getting private transfer from there?

Look forward to some advice! thank you

Hello Jasmine,

Thanks for the question.

As you are travelling many cities you can purchase Eurail 3 Country Pass for Spain-France-Italy for your travel. The pass will allow you to travel on all regional and domestic trains in the countries listed.

To purchase the pass click "Here".

Keep in mind that seat reservations would be mandatory for all High-Speed, Night, Scenic and Border Crossing trains. But, you will avail pass holder/discounted fares for these journeys with the pass.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website www.raileurope.com.au

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

There are no trains to Positano. You can travel to Salerno by train and then take local transport to Positano.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Amar, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
