rome to palermo - what do you get in a sleeper

want to travel Rome to Palermo October 4th. Realise its too early to book this, but doing some exploring with other dates, a sleeper option comes up departing Rome around 22:30 and arrives into Palermo around 10:30. Can you please explain what you get in a sleeper? We have 2 in our party. Can we get a sleeper for 2 or do we share with other. Thanks

Hello Philomena,

Thanks for your question.

Kindly note that sleeper accommodation varies according to amenities and the number of people occupying the compartment. Single compartments are 1st Class sleepers. Doubles can be 1st Class or 2nd Class, depending on the country. The amenities offered are basically the same, and include a lock on the door, an electrical outlet, a washbasin, and a luggage storage area. Single compartments have one berth, or bunk; Doubles have two berths (normally 1 upper and 1 lower)

Please note that your travel sectors can be booked only 3 months in advance.

Hope this helps!!!

Priyanka, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
