the most suitable pass for our trip

Which pass will be the most suitable for us? We are a group of 6 travelling together. We arrive in Madrid on 6/7/2016 and want to take the overnight train to Lisbon. Then we are planning to use bus from Lisbon to Seville. And trains for Seville to Granada, Granada to Valencia, Valencia to Barcelona and Barcelona to Madrid

Please indicate whether second class allows us to use the tourist class in the sleeper coach going to Lisbon

Your help will be highly appreciated as its our first time in Europe and we are bit confused

Thank you

Hello Mala,

Thanks for the question.

For your travel from Madrid to Lisbon you will need to purchase point to point ticket. You can book your travel as follows:

- Madrid to Lisbon – Trenhotel train.

You can click on the "Fare Details" tab below the Add to Cart button to know if its a sleeper or seat in the 2nd class.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website www.raileurope.com.au

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

For your travel from Lisbon to Seville by bus you will need to check it locally.

As for your travel in Spain you can purchase the Renfe Spain Pass. With the Renfe Spain Pass you can travel on all regional and domestic trains within Spain.

With Renfe Spain Pass reservations are free of cost but you would have to take reservations before boarding the train on the train station itself by showing the Pass, which will be subject to availability.

To purchase the Renfe Spain Pass click “Here”.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Amar, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
