Travel from Paris to Luxembourg on 30/08 and Luxembourg to Schaffhausen on 2/09

Hi Mark

I have a bit of a puzzling problem.

I want to travel from Paris to Luxembourg on Sunday August 30th.

Looking on http://www.capitainetrain.com, there is only 1 direct option at 16:40 for 190 Euro first class.

Yet

on other days before and after there are multiple direct options...eg

both sunday 23rd Aug and Sunday Sept 6 have multiple direct options.

What is wrong with Sunday Aug 30???

I'd also like to travel from Luxembourg to Schaffhausen on Wednesday Sept 2nd.

Ive been looking on https://www.b-europe.com/Travel?utm_campaign=general&utm_source=Affilinet&utm_medium=Affiliate

I

previously seen trains via Zurich that took about 5 and a half hours

with two changes, one at Basel, and one at Zurich...yet this does not

appear to be an option on 2 September.

I have read that certain services take a while to appear on the website, but how long should I leave it?

I'd like to book at least 2 months out.

Thankyou for your help

Pat

Hello Partrick,

Thanks for your question.

We won’t be able to comment on other websites.

Your travel will be as follows –

- Paris to Luxembourg via Liege Thalys Train and Eurocites Train

- Luxembourg to Schaffhausen via Paris and Zurich TGV Train and Eurocites Train

In order to book tickets, please visit our website www.raileurope.com.au.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then Add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Isha, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
