We will be traveling from Strasbourg to Florence with our 2 year old. Is there enough room for her to share a seat in 1st class? or should we purchase a seat for her?

Hello Hazel,

Thanks for the question.

Children below 4 years can travel for free when accompanied by an Adult passenger and has to be seated on the passengers lap while traveling. If you wish to avail seat for the child, you will need to purchase child fare ticket.

You can book and travel as follows:

- Strasbourg to Florence with 2 connections at Basel and Milan - TER, Other train and Frecciarossa trains.

In order to book tickets, please visit our website www.raileurope.com.au.

You would need to feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Leora, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
