Hello Ann,

Thanks for your question.

You would have to travel as follows :-

- Birmingham to London - UK trains.

- London to Florence via Paris and Milan - Eurostar, Euronight and Frecciarossa trains.

- Florence to Montecatini - Direct train.

- Montecatini to Florence - Direct train.

- Florence to Lucca - Direct train.

- Lucca to Empoli via Pisa - Other trains.

- Pisa to Sienna - You would have to book your travel locally.

As you are travelling extensively within Italy, I suggest that you purchase an Italy pass. The Eurail Italy Pass would offer you unlimited travel on the national rail network of Italy.

Passes can be purchased up to 6 months before your first day of travel. The pass must be validated within 6 months from the original date of issue.

All cross-border trains, night trains, scenic trains and high speed trains will require reservations. However with a Pass the seat reservations will be offered at discounted fares (Pass holder fares)

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on "book a compulsory seat reservation when using your rail pass & then feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

In order to book the pass and tickets, please visit our website.

Hope this helps!!!
