What if my train is late arriving and I miss my connecting train?

I am considering to book a trip from Venice to Monaco, with 1 stop in Milan. I would only have 15 minutes to transfer.

What happens if my 1st train is late arriving and I miss my transfer?

What are my options if there are no other trains on the same day?

Is my second ticket refundable?

Hello Jarrod,

Thanks for your question.

Please note that connecting time of more than 15 minutes is required for you to board your next train provided that you have minimum luggage.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy

Reservations not included means it is an open ticket one can travel any time as per their convenience, and the availability of the train within the validity printed on the ticket Please note that an open ticket can be used to travel on Intercity trains only. Also an open ticket allows you to board the train, but does not guarantee you a seat. You can make a seat reservation locally at the train station to have a guaranteed seat on the train. You cannot travel with an open ticket on high speed trains, night trains, scenic train and on Eurocity trains.

Hope this helps!!!
