Will a Germany - France Rail Pass (2 countries) include trains from Paris to Cologne (direct) via Thalys ?

I am looking to purchase a German - France Rail Pass and was wondering if it covered the Thalys train from Paris to Cologne?

Also, does the French pass give you access to TER trains?

Thanks,

K

Hello Keng Yeo,

Thanks for the question.

Yes, you can travel on Thalys train with the Eurail Germany-France Pass. However you will need to purchase seat reservation with the Pass.

In order to book seat reservations, please visit our website www.raileurope.com.au

The pass seats can be reserved by clicking on “Seat Reservations” & feed in the Departure city and the Arrival city along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares.

Please click on the “Fare Details” tab to view details regarding the type of fare, type of seat, whether a reservation is included or not and the After Sales Policy.

You can travel on TER with the Eurail Germany -France Pass.

Hope this helps!!!

Best Regards,

Amar, Rail Europe Travel Expert.
