Hello Belinda,

Thank you for your question.

As there are no direct trains connecting Zermatt - Lucerne, you can travel as advised below:

- ZERMATT - VISP: Train Eurocites

- VISP - LAUSANNE: Train Eurocites

- LAUSANNE - LUZERN: Train Eurocites

In order to book tickets, please visit our website http://www.raileurope.com.au/

You would need to feed in the Departure city as Zermatt and the Arrival city as Lucerne along with the travel date and preferred time & the number of passengers (Senior, adults, youth and children), and then click on “search tickets”. Once you do so, you would find the schedules along with the fares. You need to select the fare which is preferable to you and then Add it to Cart. Once added, you need to mention the names of the passengers to make the payment on the next page.

Hope this helps!!!

I have brought a rail pass (Switzerland/Austria) 10 days so it has cost me $840 and I am doing a practice run in month of September to reserve a seat for train from say Geneva to Montreaux and then say Zermatt to Lucerne it is saying that seats might be sold out or 2 connections but when I do a point to point ticket it works ? Will these stops allow a reservation or only a point to point ? Is it selling out fast at moment or why won't it work for reserving a ticket ? My first train trip from Geneva FF to Montreaux is on the 30 September so does that mean I can try to reserve a ticket tomorrow as it is 3 months ? Thanks heaps
